In this project we each thought of one question that we had always wondered that could be answered by chemistry. My question was “What causes your heart rate to increase when you are afraid or nervous?” From there I created two more questions, “How does this happen” and “Where are these chemicals held in your body.” The first thing I did was gather research about my topic. I was mainly focused on learning about adrenaline and the fight or flight response. We then wrote an essay answering our three questions, and created a presentation to teach our class what we had learned.
