Question: What is your company's mission statement and how do you see it in their work?
American Diabetes Association mission statement: To prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
It is only my second day but I already see this in all of the work they do and all of the programs in place. The American Diabetes Association donates money each year to diabetes research. They also have many programs that help people with diabetes but also people who's loved ones have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes or diabetes. They have programs like Camp Wana Kura, a summer camp for kids with diabetes. They have races and walks for the community to bring awareness to a disease that is not widely talked about. There are many other programs and the one thing that they all have in common is a goal to help those suffering from diabetes.
