Question: Compare and contrast the work week with the school week. How are your responsibilities, interactions, work, and time different? How might internship influence the direction of your life? What can you bring from internship to who you are at school? How was your work as an intern meaningful to your education? How was your work significant or meaningful for you beyond school and your specific internship site?

My day is a little bit longer at internship (9-4:30) but it is nice to be able to focus on one thing all day if I need to rather than changing classes and work every two hours. At my internship I have been focusing on making a lot of calls to people who have called the national hotline in the last year, applying for grants, and writing cover letters to be sent out to various different companies. I think that when I go back to school I will be better at managing my time. At my internship I don't have super strict deadlines so I have to be good at still managing my time well and making sure that I get everything done. I think this skill will help me in my classes and outside of school. My work was meaningful to my internship site because I am helping recruit campers to Camp Wana Kura and participants to other ADA events. This is something that takes a lot of time and was something that the employees were not able to do on top of their already busy schedule.
